Brody Armstrong praises Shirley

Brody Armstrong of The Distillers praises Shirley in the current Request magazine. The Distillers are featured as one of ten “Artists to Watch” for 2003 (p. 23). It contains the following praise of Shirley:
MANSON FAMILY VALUES: At the end of last year, the Distillers hit the road for their first big tour, with No Doubt and Garbage. “I LOVE Shirley Manson,” Brody says. “She’s got a beautiful, fierce voice. She’s smart and opinionated. At first I was scared to meet her, because she’s intimidating. But we connected right away. She called me her wife; I called her my husband. She took me under her wing, taught me so much about the music industry, what to expect, how to deal with the bullsh**. We hung out every night. We even got into a fight when we were both PMSing.”
