Butch Vig back on drums again

Butch Vig is back on drums! He played the Australian M-One concert with his mates. Here’s what he had to say on the official Message Board:
“Well, we rocked Brisbane last night. It was my first show since San Fransisco…and even though I was a bit rusty, it felt DAMN good to be playing with my mates again! The crowd seemed kind of mellow, but most of them had been standing on the field since noon, and we went on a half hour late due to Billy Idol’s technical problems. It’s been pretty fantastic hanging out here…the vibe is good, the weather is fantastic, and our AUSSIE fans are really enthusiastic!
Off to Sydney tonight for dinner with the record company.
Oh yeah, we we’re cranking the Yeah Yeah Yeahs before the gig last night and it is SUCH a breath of fresh air! We couldn’t help notice that Shirl is the only woman in another male dominated festival…
She wore a pink tutu, by the way.
