Shirley on the Madrid show

On the day after of the Madrid show, Shirley wrote: “Oh my god……the show in Madrid last night was outlandishly OUTSTANDING!!!!!! The crowd went berserk and refused to leave the venue even after we played an encore of three songs.They stayed exactly where they were when the house lights came on and made such a racket…..shouting and cheering and chanting that we finally relented,coming back nearly 10 full minutes after leaving the stage by which time half our gear had been torn down by our crew.So not having any choice but to improvise,we threw down into an accoustic version of Queer,relying on the crowd to provide the accompaniment by their chanting of the “doo doo doo” part and I swear it sounded fucking incredible!!! “
