‘We’re a Happy Family’ (The Ramones)

The Ramones tribute album is now titled. The name of the compilation will be “We’re a Happy Family”, and will be released on September 17.
According to Rob Zombie, the head of the project, “only the cream of the crop will make the final cut”. Garbage are one of them. “The scope of the Ramones record has really grown,” he said. “We always wanted it to be really special, but it turned into these superstars wanting to get on the record, which is fine. I mean, that’s really the point we wanted to prove — these huge megabands were influenced by the Ramones. I think Kurt Loder said at one point when Joey died [last year], ‘You can’t judge the value of a band by record sales.’ “
