Shirley and authograph hunters
On Shirley’s words: “I did however get a wee bit upset with a posse of professional autograph hunters after the show. They all come (armed with piles of drum heads, posters and glossy photographs) posing as legitimate fans and attempting to get us to sign our names on as many articles as possible, insisting that we use blue pens to do so because blue ink is the only thing that really shows up the signature well enough whenever they scan the article into a computer which in turn they then sell to our hardcore fans for insane amounts of money and it really deeply angers me.I ended up shouting “get that out of my fucking face” at one guy who kept shoving copy after copy of one of my Spin Magazine front covers under my nose and in the process I think I frightened off some of our true fans who were waiting there legitimately with nothing but good intentions and so I felt really bad about that later on in the bus.”
