Garbage stalked by a fan

Shirley wrote in the diary she has really upset for turning down a fan for authographs, but she explains. The fan followed the band car from Dallas to Austin, and asked Shirley to sign a big stash of things at 4 AM in the morning!
Shirley says about this: “We feel very privileged to enjoy the kind of support that we do from our fans and we want to acknowledge that as much as possible and we often sign en mass for our fans after shows and if I ever met anyone in the street during daylight hours I would NEVER turn them down but there are also times, PARTICULARLY late at night, when we really do need to be sensible about how we approach our duties for the sake of the long term and if that stance hurts the feelings of any of our fans, I am genuinely and deeply sorry”.
