Garbage release a new single, “Special”

Garbage release a new single, “Special”, on September 28 on Mushroom Records. The third single to be taken from their Number One album, “Version 2.0”, it incorporates a tribute to Pretenders singer Chrissie Hynde.
The cassette is backed with a new song, “Thirteen X Forever”, while CD1 adds “Special (Brothers in Rhythm Mix)”. CD2 features “Medication (Acoustic)” and a Victor Calderone mix of “Push It”. A limited-edition CD3, presented in a battery-type pack, collects all the B-sides.
Garbage are about to undertake their first full-scale American tour where, according to guitarist/keybordist Steve Marker, they intend to do some recording on the road for B-sides and demos.
The band will be attending the MTV Video Music Awards this wek (September 10), having been nominated for eight awards.
