Definitely not sure about the hesitancy. Just streamed the album on NME.com. Totally awesome, and much stronger than Bleed Like Me (which I still enjoy). Can’t wait to blast this all summer!

After hearing 4 new tunes at the AZ shows last month,
and clip previews here and there, this album is very guitar driven, and takes off where BLM left off. Thats a good thing in my opinion. This is nothing like the first two cds, I don’t hear pop beats, or electronic etc. If so very subtle. I don’t hear Stupid girl, Temptation Waits types of songs. I hear more of Metal heart, Bad Boyfriend, Why do you love me, type of songs. Simply put, this is hard rock..Garbage style.

I can’t wait to have it! From what I heard on youtube and from other sources I think I wouold like this record al lot.. It reminds exactly the original sound of the first records but with element that makes it sounds like it’s actual. The only album that wasn’t ok was BG becasuse the songs have differt “power”, I mean I love this band cause every record have only great songs (every song from Version 2.0 could be a single because they all are great in different way)- in BG there was defenetly a gap between songs like Shut your mouth or Cherry lips and songs like I will love you till.. Still can’t wait to hear it full… I’m stuck on the preview

Hi all,

The album didn’t have the instant impact which the first 2 had with me, and over time I can not see this album being as good as either Garbage or Version 2.0

Bleed Like Me had far more impact on the first few listens than Not Your Kind Of People does. As I said it will mature into a fine album over times.

As an idea of what I’m like I adore the first 2 albums, I also really like Bleed Like Me. As for beautifulgarbage then I don’t think I have listened to that in full since maybe 2003. BG does have some great tracks on it but I just don’t like the flow of it at all.

Not Your Kind Of People (I feel) will evolve into more of a Bleed Like Me than say a Garbage or Version 2.0, both of which are far better albums IMO.
