Dukes ‘American Epic’ is set to air

PBS and BBC America are set to air Duke’s long awaited documentary on the roots of American Music.

Duke has been working on this since the band took a break in 2005 following the release of Bleed Like Me.

No air date has yet to be announced nor if it will be shown outside of the USA. What we do know is that the three part series will be followed by a feature-length film, “The American Epic Sessions,”.

Variety.com reports that “American Epic” will eventually be available on DVD and Blu-ray from PBS Distribution. A companion album and box sets will also be released by Sony Music’s Legacy, Columbia Records and White’s Third Man Records.

The series has been directed by Bernard MacMahon, with producers and writers Allison McGourty and Duke Erikson.
