Garbage to tour Canada for the first time in four years

news0309.jpgAfter a four-year- absence, Garbage have re-emerged and are touring in celebration of a new CD.
Bleed Like Me, the band’s fourth CD is set to hit stores on April 11. The album’s first single “Why Do You Love Me” is already playing on radio stations.
As previously reported the disc features a few special guests. Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters appears on drums on one of the songs and Marilyn Manson recorded some guest vocals.
According to MTV, this record captures Garbage’s live sound more than their previous releases. Drummer Butch Vig says the disc has more guitars and less electronic sounds.
Their last disc, Beautiful Garbage, came out in 2001 and was moderately successful. Nothing, however, could match the height of their first CD, which featured the hit single, “Only Happy When It Rains.”
The two Canadian dates on the Garbage tour so far are April 24 in Montreal at Metropolis and April 25 in Toronto at the Kool Haus. Tickets for the Toronto show go on sale March 4 at Ticketmaster, Rotate This and Sonic Temple for $36.75.
